Top techniques for interior decoration - Providing space

Creating more space in the home might seem like a hassle for some, especially those who have heavy furniture of have what we call “furniture clutter” everywhere. For example, you might have small pieces of furniture are way too many pieces. You don’t have to have four end tables. Instead, you can remove some furniture and place it elsewhere or get rid of it all together. The choice is yours.

Make sure you make a path from the door to the hallway area. You obviously want your guests to get through the house easily when first entering. Try to move items or furniture away from the entrance. This will free up some space and even make the home seem bigger. So, yes - that big plant you have in the hall is not suitable. Instead, move it into the kitchen or outside on the balcony.

Another great way to make more space is by substituting large pieces of furniture with smaller pieces. Your bedroom has a huge dresser with a vanity mirror and there are actually a few extra drawers still available to put clothes in. If all the drawers aren’t filled up with clothes and there isn’t enough space in your closet, then there is no need to have a huge dresser. Try selling it and getting a smaller one. There are some very smaller dressers that can fit in the corner of the room.

Never block the windows or doorways with furniture. The worst thing you could do is put the TV in front of the mirror in your bedroom. Try to let the light in by leaving the area in front of the window bare. You can always open the curtains a little and place a small table next to the window as an alternative.
